This policy explains what data JunaTalk ("we", "us") collects when you use our iOS app and website, how we use it, and your rights. We try to keep this short and human.
When you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive a stable identifier and (optionally) your email. We don't see your password.
We store the words and phrases you've practiced, your mastery scores, lesson history, and your preferences (native language, target accent, level).
When you tap the mic to practice, your audio is sent to our speech recognition and pronunciation assessment provider (Microsoft Azure) for grading. The audio is processed within seconds and deleted from their systems within 24 hours. We don't store recordings on our servers. We retain only the per-syllable Sounds and Stress scores.
When you purchase a subscription through Apple's StoreKit, we receive an opaque transaction ID and renewal status from Apple. We never see your payment method.
We use Apple's DeviceCheck API to generate a per-device-per-developer token, used solely to prevent trial abuse (one trial per device). This token cannot be used to identify your device on any other app.
JunaTalk uses these subprocessors to operate the service:
We send these providers only the data they need to do their specific task. We never sell your data to anyone.
Email hello@junatalk.com for any of the above.
JunaTalk is not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If you believe we have, email us and we'll delete it.
If we make material changes, we'll notify you in-app before they take effect. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
